This cedar home was once a school teacher's house in Hilo. It was dismantled and reassembled on the beach in the 1930's. The idyllic settings of our beach homes have attracted many weddings. The romantic Seaside Zen Cottage is also known as the seaside honeymoon cottage. Guests return for anniversaries, family vacations or just to hang out with the honu, the five green sea turtles that live in the lagoon in front of the Cottage.

It is immediately adjacent to the four bedroom four bath Plantation Manager's Beach House.

Noted architect Emily Jagoda, remodeled the cottage, gave it its name and its ambiance.

The Seaside Zen Cottage overlooks a sandy lagoon and a sandy beach.

Downstairs there is a living, dining room, full kitchen and full bathroom.

The bedrooms feature three queen size beds and "shoji" doors.

The grounds are landscaped with native and endemic plants.
